First off, let me say I have no specific evidence that any current LSD listing on the main SR site is a scam. However, I will say that I've been scammed and watched scams go down on others over my short time here. What I have seen goes something like this:
New Vendor arrives - shows up on the forum and claims to have acquired WoW and/or other LSD blotter, drops, crystal, whatever.
Offers Samples - Free samples are offered to 5 or 10 established SR members.
Established SR Member backing - Several "Sr. Members" will come in and back the new vendor and cut down anyone who questions the legitimacy.
Multiple New Users appear - The new vendor suddenly has a flood of New Users showing up and claiming to have ordered hits and received excellent product.
Ratings - The new vendor starts to get a lot of 5/5 ratings. Most are early finalized.
Product is Received - The new vendor/scammer is mailing product of some kind. Since he is mailing product and product is being received, buyers are reporting 5/5 ratings.
Product is Questioned - Suddenly, the vendors review thread is hit with claims that the product is not LSD but most likely a RC of some sort.
Product is Defended - Multiple new users and "Sr. Members" start defending the new vendor despite the reports. The thread becomes a fighting board for - has it been tested? is it legit? is it an RC? For every complaint or question, there are many defenders.
New Vendor Disappears.
New Vendor Reappears a few weeks later with a New Name, new review thread, new victims.
Be careful.... Also, I'm not suggesting this is the only scam or that it goes down exactly like this. There are plenty of other scams out there.

That's awfully pessimistic. While maybe true in some situations, there's really not much else we can do besides try new vendors and hope the legit ones stick.

Thanks for sharing with others on the way scams are done for others currently.

i assume you are talking about the gummystars scam, and there were no senior members confirming what gummy said, there was only mambosun who is a fucking newb who just happens to post a lot and a bunch of other idiots. if you see some member vouching for another its really up to you do check their backposts and see just what type of person they are.
secondly again for the hundredth time, dont go out of escrow and you wont get scammed... thats the solution to the problem! duh!
hit the nail on the head, on both points

That is depressing. It looks like I will have more of an uphill battle for buyer trust than I expected. :/
The idea of selling one drug as another bothers me to no end. If someone can get a decent source of LSD and sell it to build reputation, then it sounds counter productive to destroy that reputation only for a couple hundred dollars.
Also, I speculate that gummystars was getting them from someone else and the person making them took advantage of gummystars. I speculate as much because if one buys a vial they are going to get at least 100 hits. Gummystars only made enough for samples, which is far less than a vial. Sounds like something bad happened with the supply chain.

These currently goes for all drugs sold on silk road not just LSD.

This wasn't meant as pessimism, just a warning to newcomers who may think just because someone has great ratings they can be trusted. I think it's just as important to look at how established the person is. Personally, I want to see new vendors succeed and hope they have great product and service. I am willing to take the risk on a new vendor by picking up a small purchase, then testing the product with a reagent test, and then with a human subject (me).
Gummystars didn't work on me because I got taken by UnnamedGrower. He had backing of at least one sr. member. I just can't recall who it was and the thread appears to have been deleted.
Anyhow, start small and build from there. If you are looking for a bigger purchase, go with the more well established vendors. I buy from a vendor who has been around for months and has a rating in the mid-80s. He's always reliable and provides top quality product. Just get to know your vendors, starting small and building up from there.
